Pisa is the city of the leaning tower, there is no doubt about it. But how many people know about all the other wonders that this city has to offer?

The answer is: not too may. That is why we are here to show you a couple of things that you shouldn’t miss during your trip to Pisa.

Did you even know that the first thing to see is just next to the station? If you are into modern art you will surely know Keith Haring. Well, this great pop art icon, left quite a mark in Pisa!



Sometimes churches are located in bizarre locations, like the tiny Chiesa della Spina that is placed on the river banks and creates a peculiar “postcard effect”.



Along the river there are many beautiful building, like Palazzo Blu, a venue which hosts lots of wonderful art exhibitions. If you are planning a visit in these months, do not miss the Salvador Dalì retrospective!



Another thing that you probably don’t know is that Pisa houses the best university of Italy (it’s one of the top 50 universities in Europe, too). Scuola Normale di Pisa is not only a great place to study, but even a joy for the eyes.



Now, you can finally complete your visit by going to Piazza dei Miracoli. Make sure to pass from the back so you can see the historical cemetery, a gothic masterpiece.



It’s finally time to see the Leaning Tower, the Cathedral and the Baptistery. Yes, it’s stunning. You kind of wonder how so many amazing artworks can be located in the same square…but Miracoli means miracles!
